 1. Day :
Flight to Trabzon via Istanbul.On arrival our jeeps will be awaiting us at the airport. We make our way through the hazelnut fields to our hotel perched on the mountain tops.
2. Day :
After breakfast we make our way via the dirt tracks that connect the smaller villages through the outstanding scenery of the black sea. We will visit remote yaylas and pass by lakes at heights well in excess of 2000 metres. In the late afternoon we will arrive to Uzungol. Here we will spend the night in cozy wooden cabins and partake of the typical Turkish hospitality.
3. Day :
After leaving our host Inan we make our way via the Şekersu pass at 2850 meters crossing to the southern side of the Pontac Mountains. Here we meet the mighty Çoruh river and drive along side before reaching the river side lodge at İspir.
4. Day :
From Ispir we take one of the most scenic roads in Turkey with wonderful views of all the mountains in the area. We will stop to join a fisherman on his boat. Hopefully catching some Hamsi. After lunch we make our way to Ayder (the gate of Kackar Mountains) before arriving we pass through the beautiful town of Çamlihemsin, where at the beginning of the 20`th century Russian lords built their manor houses. A short detour will take us to one of the less known and most spectacular waterfalls in area. The night we will spend in an extremely comfortable mountain lodge. In the evening we will visit the famous hot baths in Ayder the baths tap natural hot water springs that emerge from the mountain and have many natural healing powers.
